Add something saying "Are you sure you want to march off of X without leaving a power token?", requiring you to click yes/no.

better "Do you want to place a power token?" and when you haven't tokens "you will lose /areaname/ are you sure?"

There are some small details that could be fine tuned when the player is at 0 tokens, but otherwise the buttons solve the issue.
1. If you have 0 tokens, the No button is automatically selected. This doesn't require you to manually select no. IMO it should in case of user mistakes.
2. If you have 0 tokens, the No button does not appear to be selected. If you zoom in, you can see that it is selected since there is a slightly darker grey circle in the button but the darker grey is too close to the original color to be noticeable. I'm guessing this has to do with the yes button being disabled.
